MassRID General meeting and Workshop on Oct 18, 2014 in Framingham

Hello MassRID members!

The next MassRID General meeting will take place on Saturday, October 18th at Advocates in Framingham from 9-4; please attend!

We're voting for new board members, hoping for a quorum, and a great workshop are all happening on October 18.

Elections for Officers will be held during the MassRID General Meeting. 

The positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer are open for nominations.

There are also openings for Regional Representatives for the Northeast & West (co-rep) areas.

In order to be an officer, the candidate must been a MassRID voting member (screened/certified) for a minimum of one year immediately prior to being elected.

The candidate must be a member of National RID and she/he must be a current resident of or work in Massachusetts. 

In order to be a Region Rep, the candidate must have been a MassRID voting member (screened/certified) for a minimum of one year immediately prior to being elected. 

The candidate must be a member of National RID and she/he must be a current resident of the region represented, having lived in the region for at least one year prior.

You may make nominations prior to or during this General Meeting.

Fall General meeting

When: Saturday, October 18, 2014 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Where: Advocates Inc, 1881 Worcester Road (Route 9 West), Framingham, MA 01701

Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. to register 

9:00-12:00 Business Meeting

Note about proxys for voting members that cannot attend:

Please assign a proxy to a voting member who will be attending the meeting. 

Members can carry two proxies only and cannot split proxies, (i.e. all votes must be 'Yea' or 'Nay'). To assign proxies, contact the attending member and ask if they're willing to carry your proxy (they don't need to be in your region). You can fax/mail/hand the form (found here on website) with your signature to your proxy holder. Or you can email the proxy holder with your RID # and a statement saying you have assigned them as your proxy for the Fall 2014 General Meeting (your email counts as a legal signature). Copy the membership chair on your email. Proxies can even be assigned via email up to and during the meeting prior to the quorum being counted. Membership is at membership@MassRID.org

Your MassRID Membership is expiring! Renew today or join for the first time!

It is that time again, to register for or renew your MassRID Membership!

MassRID's memberships follow the National RID cycle of July 1-June 30.  Therefore, for those who have been members for the 2012-2013 cycle your membership is expiring on June 30, 2013.  There are a two ways for you to register for the first time or renew your membership:

1) Print, complete and mail the attached membership form to the MassRID Membership Chair, Celia Mojica (address at bottom of form)

or

2) Renewing Members- Log into your MassRID account by following this link, navigate to the "My Profile" page, click on the "Make Payment" tab and pay your dues through PayPal

3) First-time Registering Members- Follow this link and complete the online form as well as pay your dues through Paypal

Please note: if you have any questions regarding membership please direct those questions to membership@massrid.org (Celia).

A Message to Current Voting MassRID Members Regarding the Current Electonic Ballot

Hi everyone, this is a message for current MassRID Voting Members. Some of you already know this so please bear with me, but to those of you who don't already know: MassRID has recently sent out an electronic vote ballot for the current MassRID Board. 

If you've already gotten the ballot, already voted, etc, thank you! If you haven't gotten the ballot and have no idea what I'm talking about: this message is for you. Unfortunately some member information, including up-to-date email address, is out of date so you may not have received a ballot for that reason. Part of what we're doing here is updating that member information that has fallen out of date. 

So, if you have NOT received an electronic ballot from MassRID at @simplyvoting.com I have three requests: first, please just check your inbox again on the off chance that you missed it. If it's not there please check your spam or trash folder to confirm that you didn't receive it. If you still don't find it please send me an email at web@massrid.org immediately.  The eBallot closes on April 20, 2013 at midnight so please don't delay. Once you email me I can work with you to identify and hopefully resolve the problem. Worst case scenario if we cannot resolve the issue we can move onto one of our alternate options for casting your vote in the MassRID board election.

And please, if you know other voting members of MassRID PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION! It's possible that they as well have out of date information in our membership database and/or have missed this vote!
