A Request for Online Survey Participation

Framingham State University: Dana Haggar, Principal Investigator

Title of Project: Outcomes of Interpreter Request for a Deaf interpreter

You have received this request because you are a member of the Massachusetts chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.

Dear RID member:

I would like to invite you to participate in an online survey. The survey is part of my capstone research project for my senior year at Framingham State University for a degree in American Sign Language/English Interpreting. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. You must be at least 18 years old to take this survey. The deadline to complete this survey is February 28, 2015.

The decision to participate is non-compensated. You are not required to participate and you may refuse to answer any question even if you have begun the survey. You may also stop at any time and submit the partially completed survey.

The report based on this research will be used to group data and not identify any individuals who have chosen to respond to the original survey or who agree to a later interview.

The sole purpose of this survey is to gather data for a capstone research project. You will be given the opportunity to provide your email at the end of the survey if you are interested in the results.

The survey is furnished through SoGoSurvey. For information about their privacy policy, see:

Thank you for your time,

Dana Haggar
