Workshop Description:
A workshop featuring a diverse group of panelists that explore how Asian American Pacific Islander ASL interpreters “show up” to be at their fullest and the challenges we experience in our pursuit.
This workshop will be presented in ASL and is intended for interpreters and interpreting students who are members of Massachusetts or Pennsylvania RID Affiliate Chapters. Upon completion, participants will receive 0.3 PPO CEUs.

Objectives:

Participated in group discussions about various forms of racism

Analyzed the lack of resources available to interpreters who experience racism

Explored various tools that can be shared with colleagues experiencing racism

Examined efforts that can better support anti-racism efforts
